Job summary

The Hartz Mountain Corporation is seeking a hands-on Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Engineer for a hybrid role based in Secaucus, NJ. You will drive enterprise-wide continuity, backup optimization, and rapid recovery across Windows, Linux, cloud, and storage platforms.

You will join the Cybersecurity and IT teams to strengthen resilience, participate in DR testing, and refine recovery procedures to keep critical services available during disruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, backup, and restoration.
• Knowledge of Linux administration and enterprise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with VMware, Oracle DB architecture, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT business continuity and disaster recovery program development and testing.
• Develop DR plans to ensure data integrity and rapid recovery during disruptions.
• Maintain on-site and off-site backups, data archiving, and replication.
• Support security controls, incident response, and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate on network, server, and storage resilience improvements.
• Prepare recovery readiness documentation and run semiannual tests.
