Job summary

Hartz Mountain Corp seeks a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Engineer to lead enterprise-wide continuity and recovery programs. You will drive strategy, testing, and execution across Windows/Linux, cloud, storage, and applications, ensuring rapid response during disruptions.

In this hybrid role at Secaucus, NJ, you’ll optimize backup/recovery, coordinate with Cybersecurity, and advance recovery readiness for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/Engineering or related field; 7+ years experience, or 10+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong knowledge of networking, distributed systems, and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, backup/restoration, data replication, and recovery of enterprise systems (Veeam backup software).
• Incident response experience and ability to support cybersecurity readiness and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT business continuity and disaster recovery program development, testing, documentation, and readiness.
• Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, data integrity, and restoration procedures.
• Manage on-site and off-site backups, data archiving, and storage infrastructure.
• Perform disaster recovery simulations to identify gaps and improve recovery times.
• Support security policy enforcement and incident response coordination across IT.
