Job summary

Symphony ABA is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to assess and develop behavior intervention plans for children with developmental disabilities. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with families, educators, and professionals to implement effective strategies that improve quality of life and promote positive behavioral changes.

You will conduct assessments, develop plans, and monitor progress using data-driven methods while ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
• Virginia LBA required.
• Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or special education needs.
• Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance.
• Proficient in data collection methods and analysis related to behavioral interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
• Prior experience in diagnostic evaluation is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
• Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on data collection and analysis.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress regularly.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on behavior management techniques.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
• Advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met within educational and community settings.
