Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in Illinois in good standing; multi-jurisdictional admission welcomed.
• 3–6 years of substantive experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights litigation, or related practice areas.
• Experience representing financial institutions and commercial lenders in litigation, workouts, and restructurings.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, servicers, and other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation.
• Handle commercial foreclosures, receivership actions, loan enforcement, and collection proceedings.
• Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, e-discovery, and court appearances.
• Draft and negotiate workout, settlement, forbearance, and restructuring documents.
• Develop litigation strategies to protect client interests and maximize recoveries.
• Collaborate across practice disciplines on insolvency and restructuring matters.
• Maintain direct client contact and provide practical business-focused legal advice.
