Job summary

Job Juncture in Chicago seeks a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate Attorney to join a premier AmLaw 100 national firm’s creditors' rights and financial services litigation team. The role focuses on complex commercial matters representing lenders, servicers, and other creditors in bankruptcy, restructuring, and related litigation.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, are actively admitted to the Illinois Bar (multi-jurisdictional admission a plus), and have 3–6 years of

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Illinois Bar in good standing; multi-jurisdictional admissions a plus.
• 3–6 years in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights, or related practice.
• Experience representing financial institutions and lenders.
• Experience managing day-to-day litigation activities.
• Experience handling foreclosures, receiverships, and real estate disputes.
• Strong written and oral advocacy; ability to manage multiple matters.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, servicers, and other creditors in bankruptcy, restructuring, and related litigation.
• Handle commercial foreclosures, receiverships, loan enforcement, and collection proceedings.
• Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, e-discovery, and court appearances.
• Draft and negotiate workout, settlement, forbearance, and related restructuring documents.
• Develop litigation strategies to protect client interests and maximize recoveries.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice disciplines on insolvency and restructuring matters.
• Maintain direct client contact and provide business-focused legal advice.
