Job summary

tastytrade is seeking a Banking & Transfer Specialist in Chicago, IL with a hybrid in‑office schedule (minimum 3 days/week). You will process ACATs, wires, checks, transfers, and IRA distributions, acting as a liaison between clients and the clearing firm.

The role requires FINRA Series 7 (or SIE + Series 7 Top‑Off) and Series 63, plus 1–3 years in banking/brokerage operations, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and advance within the Banking team.

Qualifications

• FINRA Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 Top‑Off) and Series 63 certification
• Minimum 1–3 years in banking or brokerage operations
• Bachelor's degree or related work experience
• Ability to mentor Banking Support Specialists and support cross‑team coordination

Responsibilities

• Process all ACAT transfers in a timely manner, including from other brokerages
• Manually review and process wires, checks, internal transfers, and ACH disbursements
• Handle IRA distributions, including early withdrawals, RMDs, and qualified distributions
• Scan checks into the internal system with accurate record‑keeping
• Manage 401(k) rollovers and IRA transfers including direct/ indirect rollovers
• Escalate complex issues and coordinate with contra firms as needed
• Provide guidance to customers on ACAT timelines, fees, and transfer limitations
• Mentor Banking Support Specialists and train new team members
