Job summary

tastytrade in Chicago, IL is seeking a Banking & Transfer Specialist to join the hybrid Banking Operations team. The role prioritizes timely ACAT transfers, wires, checks, internal transfers, and ACH disbursements, while supporting IRA distributions and regulatory adherence.

You will act as a liaison between clients and clearing firms, mentoring Banking Support Specialists and escalating complex issues to leadership as needed. Hybrid work requires in-office presence three days a week.

Qualifications

• FINRA Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 Top-Off) and Series 63 Certified.
• Bachelor's degree or related work experience.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in banking operations, brokerage operations, or a similar licensed role.
• Currently or previously held a Banking Support Specialist role, or equivalent experience in banking operations.
• Demonstrated track record of accuracy and sound judgment in transaction processing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process all account transfers (ACATs) in a timely manner.
• Process wires, checks, internal transfers, and ACH disbursements.
• Handle IRA distributions including early withdrawals, RMDs, and qualified distributions.
• Scan checks into the internal system daily for accurate record-keeping and deposits.
• Manage 401(k) rollovers and IRA transfers including direct/indirect/60-day rollovers.
• Review and resolve ACAT rejections or documentation issues with contra firms.
