Job summary

United Future is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate Attorney for its prestigious AmLaw 50 Banking & Finance practice. The role offers exposure to domestic and cross-border financing, working with lenders and borrowers on complex transactions.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of substantive experience in structured finance and secured lending at a major law firm, and an active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 4-6 years of substantive experience in structured finance and secured lending at a major law firm.
• Experience representing credit funds and other lenders, and/or borrowers and sponsors in a broad range of financings.
• Familiarity with structured credit, receivables financings, distressed financings, and growth capital transactions.
• Experience collaborating with clients in the private credit and special situations space, focusing on liability management through receivables financing and other structures designed to provide liquidity to financially distressed companies.
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent credit funds and other lenders and/or borrowers and sponsors in domestic and international financing transactions.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related transaction documentation.
• Support transactions involving receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit, syndicated credit facilities, structured finance, and distressed situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver seamless client service.
• Manage deal execution from initial diligence through closing.
