Capgemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer- Backend Tech Manager in Atlanta. The role combines leadership of 5-10 backend engineers with hands-on work in Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You will drive architecture, CI/CD, cloud adoption, and collaboration with Product Owners and Scrum Masters. The position is hybrid in Atlanta, GA, and requires extensive experience in enterprise applications, coding standards, and agile delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development and application management.
• Proven experience leading backend engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Scala, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud environments and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage application development and enhancement teams comprising 5-10 backend engineers.
• Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Drive technical solutions using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Lead application enhancements, change management initiatives, and production support activities.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, SMEs, and business stakeholders to define and deliver product features.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineering teams.
• Ensure application scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
