SES Corporation seeks an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Shared Services.

This hybrid remote role requires onsite presence as needed near Hanscom AFB, MA or Huntsville, AL and entails hands-on cloud design, deployment, and security across multi-cloud environments. You will implement scalable, secure cloud solutions, apply DevSecOps practices, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams while maintaining compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; 12+ years experience optional
• Secret clearance required
• US citizenship required
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Experience in cloud operations and sustainment
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, IaC and automation

Responsibilities

• Perform cloud operations and engineering tasks to enhance scalable, resilient cloud solutions
• Maintain AWS cloud operations, sustainment, and optimisation
• Apply DevSecOps practices, IaC, and automation frameworks
• Design, implement, and sustain secure cloud architectures and networks
• Maintain compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
• Implement cloud networking security controls and STIGs
• Support migration methodologies with minimal disruption
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes
• Containerize applications for scalable deployment
• Collaborate with development, operations, security and product teams
