Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an Avionics Integration Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based at Tinker AFB, OK. You will support the AWACS program with DoD-aligned avionics integration, system design, and life-cycle engineering across concepts, requirements, and test activities.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, a related bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or 7 years total with DoD exposure, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 3 years of experience or 7 years total experience (5 in DoW).
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory assistance in developing system concepts and performing trade-off assessments.
• Apply DoDD 5000.1/5000.2R principles to engineering tasks for DoD programs.
• Support avionics integration for aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle activities.
• Provide engineering support in requirements generation, design, development, test, airworthiness, production, sustainment, deployment, and divestiture.
• Provide expertise in maintenance systems integration, diagnostics, and electronic maintenance systems.
• Interface with acquisition elements, HQ DoD, government labs, industry, and universities.
• Assist in documenting reviews, performance requirements, and system integration artifacts.
• Ensure application of systems integration processes in PESHE/ESOH and related standards.
• Develop training systems, modeling, and simulation as required.
