Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced AVD Virtualization Engineer to support a large-scale Azure Virtual Desktop platform in an enterprise environment of ~12,000 desktops. The role balances hands-on execution with engineering-level problem-solving to improve performance, scalability and reliability.

Hybrid position with onsite options in Wayne, PA or Plano, TX; in-office presence is expected Tue, Wed, and Thu. 5+ years of enterprise AVD experience and FSLogix expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supporting Windows desktops and virtualization platforms.
• End-to-end AVD engineering experience including implementation, configuration, optimization and support.
• Hands-on with AVD or comparable virtual desktop technologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement AVD designs created by architects and leads.
• Optimize platform performance and scale through improvements.
• Design, build, scale and improve virtualization solutions.
• Deploy and support AVD host pools, session hosts, app groups and workspaces.
• Administrate platform daily including scaling and health checks.
• Manage image pipelines and Shared Image Gallery maintenance.
• Troubleshoot FSLogix profile containers and storage issues.
• Monitor AVD health and capacity using Azure tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Recommend improvements for performance, reliability and efficiency.
