Job summary

Covestic Inc is seeking an AV Events Specialist to lead technical production for premier screening theaters and event spaces. You will direct setup of video systems, operate the Video Switcher, and manage show production for virtual and live audiences.

The role requires coordinating with crews, following run-of-show documents, and ensuring all AV gear is ready and tested for optimal performance. Hybrid event support and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, industry experience, or AVIXA CTS/CompTIA A+ certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Audio, video, and networking signal flow and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with video routers: Evertz, Blackmagic, Crestron.
• Knowledge of video switchers and recording devices.
• Experience with audio mixers and wireless mics.
• Knowledge of mics/RF and lighting boards.
• Experience with PTZ cameras and general camera systems.
• Familiarity with conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as event production TD/Lead Video Engineer/Production Manager.
• Set up, configure, operate, and support event spaces.
• Serve as primary AV/broadcast contact for shows.
• Follow run-of-show for proper show flow details.
• Collaborate with crew and attend pre-show meetings.
• Test all playback elements and ensure gear works.
• Elevate equipment issues via ticket system.
• Support hybrid/virtual platforms and workflows.
• Assist with inventory management and QC.
