Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Automotive Controller to join our finance team in Fairfax, VA. You will oversee all financial operations for the automotive business, ensure GAAP compliance, manage budgeting, payroll, tax, and financial reporting, and provide strategic leadership.

The role requires at least 5 years in a dealership/controller capacity, strong Excel and financial software skills, and a track record of process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably automotive industry.
• Dealership controller experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations of the automotive business, including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, tax, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, analyses, and information reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead budgeting and business planning, including forecasts and analyses.
• Implement internal controls and ensure adherence to policies.
