Job summary

Avid Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Portland-area team. You will design, develop and test process control systems, integrating PLCs, HMIs and field instrumentation to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and at least 5 years in automation and controls within process industries, with experience using Rockwell, Emerson or Inductive Automation platforms, and a proven ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of project-based automation and control engineering experience.
• Experience in process-based industries (pharmaceuticals, biotech, food & beverage, chemicals) and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and handle HMI configuration and design.
• Work on Commissioning, Troubleshooting/Testing/Debugging.
• Handle Project Documentation.
• Assist with quoting projects.
• Write specifications, schedules and technical reports.
• Interface with the client on technical matters.
• Assist with estimates and proposals.
