Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair or service writing experience preferred.
• Strong general automotive knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and technicians.
• Comfortable explaining automotive repairs and pricing.
• Ability to perform general automotive maintenance and repairs.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide professional, friendly service.
• Listen to customers' concerns and accurately document vehicle problems.
• Review vehicle inspections and explain recommended repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare estimates and computerized repair orders.
• Explain repair recommendations, pricing, and expected completion times.
• Obtain customer authorization before repairs are performed.
• Communicate with customers throughout the repair process.
• Follow up with customers regarding recommended or declined repairs.
• Recommend necessary maintenance and repairs based on vehicle condition.
• Promote shop specials and additional services when appropriate.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs are completed properly and efficiently.
