Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking an ambitious Audit Manager to lead engagements and teams in a growing regional firm. This hybrid role blends on-site client work in Timonium, MD with remote collaboration, focusing on managing client relationships and delivering quality audits.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, a bachelor's in accounting/finance, and at least 5 years in public accounting, with strong tax knowledge and supervision skills to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to mentor staff
• Experience in public accounting or equivalent; tax knowledge and regulatory familiarity

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic audit planning.
• Manage agency relationships involving audit matters, including IRS and other regulatory bodies.
• Review tax accruals and reconciliations; input data into the financial system accurately.
• Advise management on audit and tax liabilities and corporate strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit team members.
• Stay abreast of developments in tax area and provide updates to management.
