Job summary

HCVT is seeking an experienced Audit and M&A Senior Manager in California to lead audit engagements and provide transaction-related accounting and due diligence support for middle-market and PE-backed clients.

The role manages client relationships, oversees engagement delivery, and guides teams across audit and transaction services while contributing to business development and maintaining high standards of quality and ethics. A CPA and extensive GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license and a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Approximately eight or more years of progressive public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards.
• Experience with due diligence, transaction support, and quality-of-earnings analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and complete financial statement audits with firm standards.
• Lead and support buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements.
• Develop client relationships and provide advisory on accounting matters.
• Lead, coach, and develop audit and transaction engagement teams.
• Support business-development activities across audit and transaction services.
