Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing accountancy practice. You will lead audit engagements, plan, execute and complete assignments, and supervise junior staff to deliver high‑quality results.

This role offers hybrid working, increasing responsibility, and exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will build strong client relationships, support Managers and Partners, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Working within an accountancy practice with strong audit experience.
• Proven ability to supervise and review junior staff.
• Qualified or working towards ACA/ACCA with good technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver audit assignments from start to finish.
• Work with Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals to meet high standards.
• Ensure audits comply with regulatory and professional standards.
• Review work of junior team members and provide coaching.
• Act as a key contact for clients and maintain strong relationships.
• Support Managers and Partners in delivery of client work.
