Job summary

Clark Wood in Durham, NC, is working with a leading accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Senior. You will take responsibility for a varied audit portfolio, from planning through to completion, and help develop junior team members.

The role involves leading on-site audit teams, acting as a main client contact, reviewing work, and using digital audit tools to improve efficiency. Hybrid/flexible working is available. Excellent career progression and ongoing training are on offer.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• Strong audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Confident leading audit assignments and managing deadlines.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Good IT skills, including Excel and audit software.
• Able to travel to client sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage statutory audits from planning through to completion.
• Lead on-site audit teams and act as a key client contact.
• Review work and support junior members of the team.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality audits.
• Use digital audit tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Attend client sites across the North East and Yorkshire.
