Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, based in Boston, seeks an Associate Director of Biostatistics to lead statistical activities for clinical programs. The role requires independent, cross-functional collaboration and hands-on analysis across studies, with emphasis on quality, timeliness, and regulatory-ready outputs.

The role reports to the VP of Biostatistics & Statistical Programming in a fast-paced biotech setting and offers a hybrid work model with potential travel.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics with ~5+ years of clinical trial experience in biopharma/biotech/CRO; or MS with ~8+ years.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and trial methodologies with practical development experience.
• Familiarity with CDISC SDTM/ADaM standards and regulatory submission deliverables preferred.
• Experience contributing to IND/NDA/BLA/MAA/J-NDA submissions is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain quality, and communicate complex stats clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as statistical lead for assigned studies or program activities, including design, sample size, SAPs, TLFs, and analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate statistics into clinical plans and decisions.
• Prepare and review statistical content for protocols, CSRs, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee statistical vendors and ensure QC of outputs per Rhythm standards.
• Coordinate with statistical programmers on efficacy/safety outputs and issue resolution.
• Support interim analyses, DSMBs, ad-hoc analyses, and regulatory submissions.
