Job summary

Topco Associates LLC in Quincy, MA is seeking an Associate Category Manager to join our Indirect Spend team. This hybrid role requires three days in the Quincy office and two remote days each week, focusing on Third Party Supply Distribution.

You will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and build relationships with members and internal teams to drive cost savings, program improvements, and long-term category growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years in category management, purchasing, or sourcing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities using data.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned indirect spend categories to support growth and supplier performance.
• Develop category strategies aligned with member needs.
• Lead competitive RFPs, negotiations, renewals, and reviews.
• Prepare forecasts and analyze market conditions for sourcing strategies.
• Lead supplier selection and implementation activities.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and supplier consolidation.
• Monitor category performance and explore new products or services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and travel as needed.
