Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Associate Business Analyst to support the platform that coordinates event operations, crewing, travel, payroll, and vendor integrations for live sports productions. You will learn product thinking by turning business needs into clear requirements and contribute to agile delivery in a fast-paced media environment.

You'll work closely with a Senior Product Manager, gain hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and data analysis, and help shape the roadmap

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis, or software requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset with data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum and collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence.
• Proactive, curious attitude and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for events, crewing, onboarding, travel, hotel allocation, equipment management, and reporting workflows.
• Maintain product backlog in Jira and write user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics with senior team members.
• Create and maintain project artifacts (docs, process flows, wireframes) using tools like Confluence, Lucidchart, or Figma.
• Collaborate with QA to log, triage, and track defects; assist in test cases and UAT.
• Support data analysis and reporting by querying dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and translate findings for stakeholders.
• Document data flows between the platform and downstream systems (HR/payroll, travel & expense, vendors).
• Prepare training materials and assist with training sessions for event operations staff.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and agile delivery rituals.
• Track action items, risks, and issues across workstreams; escalate as needed.
• Collect stakeholder feedback to feed into the product roadmap.
• Provide post-launch support and coordinate fixes with engineering.
• Own small, well-scoped enhancements with senior review.
