Job summary

Our Client in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice on a hybrid basis. You will handle sophisticated employment disputes, draft pleadings, take depositions, and advise employers on risk management with a client-focused approach.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of employment litigation experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and Florida Bar admission in good standing, with strong writing and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• 4–7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour claims.
• Strong legal writing, motions, discovery requests and responses; deposition experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
