Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice in Jacksonville, FL. This hybrid role offers substantial litigation responsibility with direct client interaction in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, Florida Bar in good standing, and 4–7 years of substantive employment litigation experience, including pleadings, depositions, and court appearances.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Florida Bar admission, in good standing.
• 4-7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience providing employment counseling and advice to management teams is preferred.
• Large law firm or employment boutique experience preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
