Atlas Copco in Plymouth, MI is seeking an Assistant Business Controller to support the Business Controller in accounting, reporting and analysis of business results. The role covers accounting, closing, audit coordination, ERP optimization (Power BI), and internal controls across a manufacturing environment.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with on-site collaboration at our Plymouth, Michigan office.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a multinational company with consolidation of multiple entities.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• High energy, results‑oriented, team player.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the day to day accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets.
• Assist in the research new accounting standards and apply them to the business.
• Manage the month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Analyze inventory – raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Play a key role in the standardized monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.
• Develop and utilize analytical tools to identify data anomalies.
• Prepare explanations for plan and forecasted figures.
• Forecast revenues and expenses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Work with operations and cost accounting to understand variances and follow up actions.
• Serve as main contact for external auditors.
• Prepare and coordinate audit requests.
• Prepare for and participate in internal audits.
• Perform control self‑assessments on a regular basis.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and proper segregation of duties.
