Job summary

Volunteers of America National Services seeks an Asset Manager to represent owner/sponsor interests across our housing portfolio. The role ensures properties operate at optimal performance while remaining compliant with financial, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

Based in the DMV hybrid environment (3 days in 2 remote), you will analyze financial statements, coordinate annual budgets, and manage relationships with management entities. Travel may be required to various properties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, architecture, engineering or finance.
• Graduate degree in planning, real estate development, finance or business is also desired.
• Minimum 2 years experience in real estate finance, property management, development, or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, interpret and report on operational performance of assets.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly/quarterly financial reports and compare to budget.
• Coordinate annual operating and capital budgets for properties.
• Submit audited financial statements and report findings to senior staff.
• Track compliance with loan and regulatory requirements and identify needed actions.
• Develop and submit investor reports and ensure timely tax filings.
