Job summary

Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) seeks an Asset Manager to represent owner/sponsor interests across our housing portfolio, ensuring properties run at optimal performance while meeting financial, regulatory and reporting requirements.

The role supports on-site and remote coordination in the DMV area with a hybrid schedule and standard business hours, emphasizing accurate reporting, budgeting and audit readiness for the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering or Finance preferred.
• Graduate degree in Planning, Real Estate Development, Finance, or Business desired.
• Minimum two years in Real Estate Finance, Property Management, Real Estate Development, or Construction Management.
• Experience with HUD housing programs, tax credits, and tax-exempt bonds.
• Interpersonal skills to manage staff and external contacts; ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, interpret and report on asset performance across the portfolio.
• Assure timely submission of monthly/quarterly financial reports and budgets.
• Coordinate annual operating and capital budgets and ensure funding for capital needs.
• Maintain asset management systems and ensure compliance with loan/regulatory requirements.
