Job summary

GFT Infrastructure, Inc. in Chicago, IL is hiring a Designer, Architecture to work at our Chicago location with partial remote work.

You will prepare project documents, plans, details and initial setup work, and generate takeoffs for cost estimates. The role requires Bachelor’s in Architecture/Architectural Engineering and 2 years of experience, with proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Enscape, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years relevant experience in architecture.
• Skills in reading and interpreting architectural drawings; Revit; SketchUp; AutoCAD; Enscape; Photoshop; Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project documents including plans, details, and initial setup work.
• Generate takeoffs for cost estimates and perform architectural calculations.
• Gather and record product info for cost estimating and specs.
• Support studies and reports and assist with routine technical reports.
• Assist with sheet setup on project drawings and submittal reviews.
• Coordinate work with other team members and communicate effectively.
