Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is assisting a New York–based design firm in identifying an Intermediate Technical Architectural Designer for their New York, NY office or Maitland, FL location. The role is full‑time and hybrid with a comprehensive benefits plan.

Responsibilities include site surveys, coordination with clients and consultants, construction documentation, and RFI responses. Requires 5–8 years in Corporate/Commercial Interiors and expert Revit/AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Master’s degree a plus.
• 5-8 years of continuous professional technical experience in Corporate/Commercial Workplace/ Retail Banking Interiors.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Site survey and documentation
• General site code review (egress, fixture counts, path of travel)
• Assist with preparation of budget scope drawings and specifications
• Technical coordination with the design team
• Full construction documentation including technical detailing and specifications
• Coordination with client, landlord, and consultants
• Redline review of construction documents
• Issue and distribute documentation
• Respond to questions from bidders
• Attend weekly project meetings and respond to RFIs
• Site inspections and layout approvals
• Coordinate revisions, bulletins and addenda
• Review shop drawings and submittals
• Punchlist inspection, compilation and distribution
• Assist in project close‑out documentation
