Job summary

Portescap (a Regal Rexnord brand) is seeking an Application Engineer to serve as the technical liaison between customers, sales and engineering for advanced motion control solutions used across aerospace, defense, medical and industrial sectors.

The role combines engineering, solution development and project management to support customers from concept through prototype, qualification and production launch, with a hybrid onsite schedule in West Chester, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
• 3-5+ years of engineering experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience working directly with customers to develop and deliver technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, timelines, and customer priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to travel approximately 15-20%, including customer visits and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers to capture requirements, performance expectations, and objectives.
• Develop and recommend standard or customized motion control solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for engineering and manufacturing.
• Evaluate applications, perform motor sizing, feasibility, and validation activities.
• Lead cross-functional program activities from concept through production launch.
• Build strong relationships with customer engineering, procurement, and program management.
