Job summary

Old Republic Bitco is seeking an Application Development Supervisor to lead and support the day-to-day delivery of software development across strategic projects and production support. You will manage a team of developers, including onshore/offshore resources, and ensure SDLC standards and production readiness are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum seven (7) years of relevant IT work experience preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory, team leadership, or people management experience.
• Strong understanding of microservices architectures and enterprise applications including Duck Creek Technologies, Kalepa, Salesforce, Service-Now, Digital portals, and API frameworks.
• Experience leading software development teams responsible for both project delivery and production support activities.
• Experience in platform development/configuration including product configuration, business rules engines, low-code plugins, and CI/CD.

• Oversee software development and production support activities with workload planning and delivery coordination.
• Coach and develop software developers through performance management and mentoring.
• Build and sustain a high-performing team through recruiting and onboarding.
• Communicate organizational priorities and foster positive employee relations.
• Translate business requirements into actionable development work and track progress.
• Monitor team performance, code quality, and production stability while driving improvements.
• Contribute to development efforts through coding, troubleshooting, and technical implementation.
• Provide technical leadership via code reviews and enforcing development standards and SDLC practices.
• Collaborate with QA, UAT, and stakeholders to ensure proper testing, deployment, and support.
• Foster a data-first mindset with real-time integrations and data engineering collaboration.
