Job summary

Old Republic Bitco seeks a Senior Software Developer to join our Davenport, IA home office. Hybrid work arrangement blends in-person collaboration with flexible scheduling in a respected specialty insurer serving construction, forest products, and oil and gas.

You'll design and maintain Microsoft/Azure-based applications, mentor developers, and collaborate across enterprise platforms such as Duck Creek, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, driving modernization and reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or business/tech focus and at least 7 years of relevant IT experience
• Expertise in C#, .NET (Blazor/Razor, Entity Framework), SQL, MVC, WebAPI, Function Apps
• Experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI, microservices, and integrations with Duck Creek, Salesforce, and ServiceNow
• Experience configuring Enterprise Insurance platforms (Duck Creek Billing/Policy/Claims/Clarity)
• Cloud experience with Azure DevOps, Data Factory, Blob Storage, Functions; CI/CD
• DevOps mindset: Git, deployment pipelines, automated testing and releases

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and integrations using Microsoft and Azure technologies
• Work with team leads and stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals
• Contribute to a cloud-native platform using Azure Functions, Service Bus, and event patterns
• Mentor developers and drive a culture of high performance and learning
• Configure and integrate enterprise platforms (Duck Creek, Salesforce, ServiceNow) with best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliability and agility
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure quality
• Adopt CI/CD and DevOps practices to keep development at industry standard
• Collaborate across departments and external partners for enterprise-wide improvements
• Research and propose AI opportunities, design APIs, ensure reusable solutions
