Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Program Manager to lead the planning, integration and execution of a major AP1000 engineering portfolio. This role reports to the Director - Project & Portfolio Planning and will be hybrid at the Cranberry Woods, PA or Rock Hill, SC facility.

You will provide oversight of Project Managers, ensure accurate forecasting, manage risks, and drive execution with a delivery cell approach across Building Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Components,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive project/program management experience.
• PMP certification or equivalent project/program-management credential.
• Experience leading Project Managers or matrixed multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated execution of the assigned engineering portfolio, including scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk, priorities, interfaces and performance commitments.
• Provide execution leadership, coaching and direction to assigned Project Managers; establish common expectations, tools, reporting and governance across the portfolio.
• Partner with the Functional Director and Lead Engineer to translate technical priorities into sequenced work packages with clear ownership, milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure authorized scope is represented in the Integrated Engineering Schedule with appropriate logic, resources, interfaces, forecast dates and completion criteria.
• Partner with Project Controls to maintain credible forecasts, monitor performance, identify new constraints and communicate concise status to leadership.
• Maintain an integrated view of portfolio budget, actuals, estimate to complete and resource demand; explain material variances and lead corrective action.
• Find and address program risks, lead issue resolution and develop recovery plans when technical, schedule, cost or resource challenges threaten commitments.
• Facilitate prioritization decisions using technical need, schedule float, milestone impact, resource availability and dependencies.
• Coordinate portfolio interfaces with other Program Managers, Project Engineering, Licensing, Supply Chain, Construction and other stakeholders as required.
• Support standardization, continuous improvement and lessons learned across AP1000 Fleet Engineering execution.
