Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a seasoned AP leader to drive direct store delivery accounts payable initiatives. The role focuses on supervising a team, overseeing external processing, and strengthening controls to support accurate, timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 6-8 years AP experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Excel/SAP skills. Hybrid work with in-person and remote days is offered across US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Equivalent.
• 6-8 years AP experience, preferably leading teams/processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting theories, methodologies, principles and practices.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, macros).
• Experience with GL account analysis and query tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and develop a team of AP associates enabling timely task completion.
• Provide oversight for invoice processing by the 3rd party provider.
• Maintain and refine SOPs to uphold best-practice standards.
• Oversee data flow and end-to-end process across supply chain and provider.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support key business decisions.
• Develop and publish department reporting/KPIs.
• Establish departmental goals and drive accountability.
• Liaise between the department and other areas/brands.
• Evaluate AP processes to identify improvements and advocate changes.
• Sustain and advocate robust internal controls.
