Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Consultant – Advanced Analytics to join its team in Newport Beach, CA. This on-site role works four days a week in the office and one day remote, guiding analytics initiatives from discovery to delivery and beyond.

You will partner with Finance, Underwriting, Sales, Product, and Fraud to define requirements, deliver analytics solutions, and track business value. Strong BI and data warehouse skills are essential.

Qualifications

8+ years in a business analytics or related role.
4-year degree or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to engage stakeholders and translate needs into requirements.
Experience owning analytics initiatives end-to-end.
Strong Snowflake knowledge and BI platform skills.
Domain depth in finance, underwriting, sales, product, or fraud within financial services or regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Underwriting, Sales, Product, and Fraud.
Uncover business initiatives and value drivers through active discovery.
Translate business needs into clear analytics requirements and prioritized roadmaps.
Orchestrate delivery by engaging Analytics Engineering, Data Visualization, and Data Science teams.
Own each initiative end-to-end against a defined delivery timeline and manage milestones and risks.
Drive adoption post-launch and track ROI with delivery teams on enhancements.
