Job summary

MITRE, a nonprofit engineering and research organization, is seeking an Intermediate AI Solutions Architect to develop AI-enabled applications and workflows for mission users within the AI Enablement group of Mission Computing. The role contributes to secure, repeatable AI in engineering and software development, with guidance from senior staff and collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with LLM APIs, AI/ML workflows, data integrations, and secure deployment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience or relevant advanced degree.
• Experience translating user needs into technical components and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Engage mission users to clarify objectives, workflows, and data needs.
• translate needs into prototypes and integration tasks.
• Develop, test, and document AI-enabled applications and workflows.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and document tradeoffs.
• Adapt AI workflows, prompts, and starter kits for reuse.
• Deliver demonstrations, training, and technical support for AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with teams to expand MITRE capabilities and guide junior members.
