Job summary

OCC is seeking an intern in AI Research & Engineering (AIRE) to help design and prototype agentic AI solutions on frontier platforms. You will collaborate with engineers to build agent workflows and test integration with enterprise data sources.

The role offers a hybrid, year-round internship (up to 20 hours weekly during the school year and up to 40 hours in summer) and hands-on exposure to enterprise AI deployment in financial services.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or second-year graduate student graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with Java, C++, or R adds value.
• Coursework or project experience in machine learning, AI, or data science.

Responsibilities

• Agent design & prototyping — Build and iterate on AI agent workflows for a specific OCC functional area.
• Platform integration — Integrate agentic solutions with internal data sources and APIs.
• Evaluation & testing — Design test cases and evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, reliability, and safety.
• Governance & risk awareness — Collaborate with AI Governance & Risk Management on compliance considerations.
• Documentation & knowledge sharing — Document architectures and lessons learned for internal playbooks.
• Cross-functional collaboration — Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
