Job summary

Frontier Farm Credit in Omaha, NE seeks an Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern to join a team turning cutting-edge AI concepts into production-ready solutions. The role blends hands-on experimentation with practical engineering across the AI lifecycle, from prototyping to deployment and monitoring.

You will work with teams to explore generative AI, design prompts and RAG strategies, evaluate applications for performance and ethics, and help translate business needs into technical AI

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, MIS, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Available for a 12-week internship during the summer.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Experiment with Generative AI models, frameworks, and platforms to explore AI agent automation.
• Design and implement prompt engineering strategies including RAG for relevance.
• Evaluate Generative AI apps for performance, cost, and ethics, including bias detection.
• Gather requirements with business and tech teams and translate into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize requirements through automation and improve efficiency.
• Use tools and best practices to ensure reliability of AI-driven solutions.
