Job summary

Together AI, the AI Native Cloud, in San Francisco, seeks a research intern to tackle frontier AI challenges across agentic and scientific domains. You will explore alignment, reliability, and scalability for multi-step tasks, and contribute to training recipes and data curation for long-horizon reasoning.

You will conduct experiments, document results for publications and blogs, and collaborate with engineers to push the capabilities of AI agents.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Ph.D. in CS, EE, Info Science, or related field.
• Publications at leading ML, NLP, or speech conferences or journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, Interspeech).
• Strong knowledge of ML and DL fundamentals.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, etc.).
• Understanding of how LLMs work.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with Transformer architectures and recent foundation model developments.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement novel techniques in focus areas.
• Design and conduct rigorous experiments to validate hypotheses.
• Document findings in scientific publications and blog posts.
• Communicate plans, progress, and results to the broader team.
