AVEVA is seeking an AI Software Engineer in Lake Forest, California, working in a hybrid model. You will join our Core AI Services team to design, develop, and scale AI-enabled platform services and public APIs that support AVEVA’s product portfolio and partner ecosystem.

The role involves building cloud-native services on Azure, deploying AI models, and delivering secure APIs with a builder mindset and Agile cadence. This position requires deep experience with LLMs, RAG, MCP, and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and trade-offs between performance, cost, and capability.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and tool calling.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A).
• Fluent in developing code using AI Tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Able to perform prompt engineering for multiple development tasks.
• Familiar with AI orchestration and agentic frameworks.
• Experience in Python and AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience with tools for automated testing and evaluation of AI outputs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.

Responsabilités

• Work with multiple teams to create AI solutions, including model deployment, training, and tooling.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop secure, well-documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data pipelines and service APIs.
• Embed robust security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure secure access.
