Job summary

AVEVA seeks a highly accomplished R&D senior software professional to lead the design and delivery of mission‑critical industrial automation software using C#, .NET, Angular, and microservices. You will mentor engineers, architect scalable solutions, and guide product decisions while aligning with Azure cloud capabilities and AI-assisted development.

You will drive high‑quality code, create documentation, and collaborate across teams to ensure robust, maintainable systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing enterprise software in C#/.NET and Angular.
• Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8+ years of experience delivering complex software across the full stack; C++ is a plus.
• Proficient in AI-assisted engineering tools, including HVE to elaborate requirements into user stories.
• Experience with AI-driven development workflows and automated documentation.
• Experience leading medium-scale initiatives and designing microservices.
• Deep proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Azure AI Search.
• Strong domain knowledge in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Make architectural and technical decisions to balance scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead design, development, testing, and debugging of complex software systems.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for code generation, tests, and documentation to boost velocity.
• Produce clear technical documentation and articulate design rationale.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to plan priorities and review designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the team.
• Identify risks and ensure smooth delivery across the software lifecycle.
