Job summary

General Motors seeks a motivated software engineer to build data pipelines, deploy AI-driven analytics, and create interactive web apps impacting GM vehicle engineering and customer experience. The role supports VESET, focusing on intelligent automation and prognostics using ML and GenAI.

The candidate will work with data governance, infra, and architecture teams in a hybrid setting, located at Warren, Michigan, with relocation options as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science or Data science
• Must be graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
• Proficient in Python
• Must be able to work in Southeast Michigan
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver applications that train and serve ML models and create apps that make large datasets accessible to a wider audience
• Develop analytics from diverse engineering, program and manufacturing data to support vehicle program launches
• Preprocess structured and unstructured data for analytics
• Deploy scalable AI/ML powered analytics and prognostics in a cloud environment
