Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and deliver data-intensive, AI-enabled solutions for Finance and Legal teams. You will craft performant SQL and PySpark in Databricks, build scalable pipelines, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to productionize models and workflows.

The role emphasizes reliability, data quality, and security, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to influence GM standards and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
2–5 years of systems engineering delivering data-intensive solutions.
Strong SQL, Python/PySpark, and Databricks experience.
Experience with AI agents or skills and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data-driven AI-enabled solutions for Finance/Legal teams.
Develop SQL and PySpark code in Databricks for complex transformations.
Build and optimize Databricks data pipelines for batch and near real-time processing.
Collaborate with data science/AI teams to productionize AI/ML solutions.
Develop agents and automated workflows using Glean and Genie.
Troubleshoot production issues and document solutions.
