Job summary

Swingtech is seeking a Senior AI Full Stack Engineer for a hybrid role based in Washington, DC. You will lead hands-on development, integration, testing, deployment, and support of secure AI-enabled applications with emphasis on RAG pipelines, embeddings, and API backends.

The ideal candidate brings five+ years in AI-enabled software development, Python expertise, and experience with secure FedRAMP environments.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on experience in AI-enabled application development or software engineering.
• At least one year of hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or Agentic AI.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines, semantic retrieval, embeddings, vector databases, AI workflows.
• Knowledge of AI testing, Responsible AI, security controls, and FedRAMP/FISMA moderate environments.
• Experience developing AI-enabled interfaces with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance.
• Experience supporting release management, documentation, monitoring, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, deploy, operate, and enhance AI-enabled applications and services.
• Build and maintain LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector search.
• Develop secure AI applications, APIs, backends, dashboards, and integrations.
• Provide hands-on development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and operations.
• Implement model evaluation, retrieval-quality tuning, grounding validation, and monitoring.
• Manage environment controls across DEV, TEST, STAGING, and PROD.
• Support MLOps, versioning, CI/CD, release documentation, and production monitoring.
• Conduct code and prompt reviews, troubleshooting, and mentorship.
• Perform AI-specific adversarial testing and document remediations.
