Job summary

PG&E is seeking an Expert/Principal Operations Finance Analyst to act as the finance lead for AI initiatives within the IT portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, information systems, data analytics, or related discipline.
• 6 years of FP&A, business finance, technology finance, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and communicate recommendations to leadership.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, IT, product, engineering, sourcing, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance support for AI business cases with costs, benefits, assumptions, risks, timing, dependencies, and value levers.
• Develop ROI, NPV, payback, sensitivity analyses for AI initiatives across pilot, scale, and run-state phases.
• Establish governance routines for AI financial review including cost categories and benefit taxonomy.
• Create showback, chargeback, or allocation approaches linking AI consumption to owners and outcomes.
• Partner with IT, cloud, architecture, accounting, and business finance to align policies and governance.
