Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) is seeking an Expert Agentic AI Engineer to lead the architecture of its AI ecosystem. The role defines standards for AI platforms, knowledge systems, and enterprise AI solutions, while driving scalable, secure, and governable implementations from Oakland and remote offices.

The role reports to the AI and Cloud Engineering team and offers a hybrid work pattern, with compensation tied to a base range and discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT/AI or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, Platform Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.
• AWS Associate Certification, or equivalent cloud platform certification.

Responsibilities

• Define AI platform architecture, standards and roadmaps.
• Architect multi-agent and autonomous AI systems.
• Define MCP architecture, AI Gateways, and enterprise connectivity patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews and provide strategic design guidance.
• Ensure AI security, governance and responsible AI controls.
