Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Engineer II for NextGear Capital in Carmel, IN, to craft robust native mobile apps and AI-augmented workflows. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality Android and iOS experiences, advancing digital transformation across the organization.

The role emphasizes ownership of features, strong coding standards, and effective collaboration while working three days a week in the office and two remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 14 years’ experience in a related field.
• AI-Augmented Mindset: Consistent, effective use of AI coding assistants across the SDLC with strong context and critical evaluation.
• Problem Solving: Analytical judgment and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI agents and tools to build, test, and deploy software across the SDLC.
• Contribute to prompt engineering and share tool usage insights with the team.
• Engage in design and development discussions to conceptualize outcomes from a software engineering perspective.
• Develop and implement unit and system tests for secure coding practices.
