Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer (Finance) to drive complex engineering initiatives in Torrance, CA or Tempe, AZ on a hybrid schedule. This role partners with world-class engineering leaders to implement product strategies, develop schedules, and improve engineering quality and productivity.

The position requires a technical bachelor's degree, 5 years of related experience, and 2 years in systems/project engineering. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 5 years of related engineering experience.
• 2 years experience in a systems engineering or project engineering functions.
• Ability to drive small teams (1-3 subject matter experts) to execute technical engineering tasks.
• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Support system architecture trades.
• Requirements Validation and Verification (understanding of the “V” method).
• Verification plan development and execution including formal qualification.
• Project schedule and milestone development/management.
• Project estimation and budget preparation based on verification plan.
• Risk/opportunity development and management.
• Project execution and performance management.
