Job summary

Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking an Admissions Counselor to drive enrollment for Accelerated Undergraduate hybrid programs within the Graduate and Professional Studies Division. You will recruit from assigned community college territories, present to groups, and manage inquiries through the admissions pipeline.

The role requires organization, proactive outreach, excellent communication, and the ability to balance meetings, transcripts, campus visits, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in university enrollment, admissions, recruitment, student services, customer service, or sales preferred.
• Experience working with adult, transfer, or nontraditional students preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Zoom; experience with Salesforce or another CRM is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accelerated Undergraduate student recruitment and admissions including inquiry development, management, advising, transcript evaluations, applicant counseling, admissions decisions and enrollment support.
• Proactively communicate with prospective students through in-person meetings, phone, Zoom, voicemail, texting and email throughout the admissions process.
• Build relationships with prospective students and community college partners to facilitate enrollment and remove barriers.
• Maintain accurate, timely student records in the admissions CRM and document activities and next steps.
• Plan, coordinate and execute recruitment events, presentations and campus visits; travel to partner campuses as needed.
